Ensuring A Culture of Child Safety: Is Your OSHC Upholding Its Shared Commitment?

Facilitated by Rarni Rothwell

Ensuring A Culture of Child Safety: Is Your OSHC Upholding Its Shared Commitment? | The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse uncovered widespread and disturbing instances of abuse within institutions across Australia, including examples in ECEC. In response, a number of vital reforms are under way to support OSHC communities to build a culture of child safety. This includes:

  • the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations

  • State and Territory Child Safe Standards

  • Reportable Conduct Schemes
