We have an exciting opportunity for a nurturing, caring and experienced individual to join our rapidly growing Outside of School Hours and Vacation Care services as a permanent Lead Educator and Assistant Coordinator working approximately 35 hours per week.

​

Your role:

As an experienced Lead Educator, and Assistant Coordinator, you will be pivotal in developing our children’s lifelong love of learning by supporting and guiding children's learning and development. 

Using your skills, ideas and passion for education, you’ll help shape the future of children in our care by collaborating with your team to create a safe, supportive and engaging play-based learning environment for children, their families and our wider community.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead your team in creating and delivering an educational program fostering children’s learning and development.

  • Assist with programming and day to day organisation. 

  • Prioritize children’s health and safety.

  • Engage in joyful, educational activities, inspiring a love for learning.

  • Support the Coordinator with staff management.

  • Undertake administrative requirements where required.

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with Educators, children, families, and our community.

  • Support a positive team culture, that is reflective and committed to continuous improvement.

  • Aid in maintaining records for incidents, accidents, and medication.

  • Assist in organising staff meetings and training sessions.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • The ability to positively influence and provide feedback on our educator’s documentation, processes and interactions.

  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership position.

  • Willingness to lead and be a part of a well established team.

  • Sound knowledge of the My Time Our Place Framework and National Quality Standards.

  • Experience using the Xplor database - or similar program preferred.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Hold a current Paid Blue Card

  • Hold a relevant Diploma, Certificate III in Early Childhood or ACECQA approved qualification 

  • First-aid and CPR qualified 

​
