QCAN has been funded by the Queensland Government to develop and deliver the OSHC Uplift Pilot. The OSHC Uplift pilot is a statewide program designed to support small Approved Providers and their educators to deliver high-quality OSHC services. Delivered over two years, the initiative will target smaller Approved Providers with a focus on those rated Meeting or Exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS) or Working Towards services referred by ACECQA under the Targeting Quality Program.
OSHC Uplift Advisors will be appointed to provide tailored regional support. Advisors will deliver up to four hours of support per region, per week, for 40 weeks annually. Their role will include reviewing uplift plans submitted by participating services, developing regional uplift strategies, and delivering mentoring and coaching. Advisors will facilitate learning communities through a Community of Practice (CoP) model, coordinate targeted professional development and training sessions, and encourage participation in action research projects. CoP meetings will be held quarterly (once per term) in each region.
OSHC Uplift Advisors will provide support in the following eight regions:
-
Townsville
-
