The OSHC Educator Microcredential is your solution.

The Microcredential was developed as an industry partnership, ensuring it is grounded in the essential knowledge and skills required of an effective OSHC educator on the job.

The Microcredential consists of:

  • Structure training around six key focus areas 

  • Assessment via online quiz

  • Microcredential certification issued upon successful completion

 

Focus areas:

  1. Legal and Professional Responsibilities of Educators Working within the NQF

  2. Duty of Care and Child Protection Responsibilities of an OSHC Educator

  3. Work Health and Safety and Managing Risks in OSHC

  4. Relationships with Children (including Behaviour Guidance and Support)

  5. Effective Supervision and Safe OSHC Environments

  6. Designing and Delivering Experiences in OSHC (in a manner that accords with the Approved Learning Framework)

There are a number of options available to access the OSHC Educator Microcredential. These include:
