About the Event

Webinar Wednesday - Reconsidering Food in OSHC

Facilitated by Rarni Rothwell

We know that OSHC has an important role to play in supporting the physical activity and nutrition of children in OSHC given the Governments significant investment in past PANOSH projects. Whilst food safety and nutrition are critical, there is one aspect of food that is often overlooked. What role does food play in creating a sense of belonging in OSHC? How do our food routines and rituals help us to feel culturally safe? What are the children really learning about food?

Join us as we consider what happens when we think critically about food and how it intersects with the approved learning framework outcomes. This session will explore food in OSHC beyond what we eat. We will reconsider:

• Where we eat

• How we eat
