About the Event

Leading though Crisis

This session will explore key principles of effective leadership through crisis to help leaders take a considered and thoughtful approach to the current situation with COVID-19. This approach to leadership frames the crisis as a ‘lifecycle’ rather than ‘event’ inviting leaders to think about crisis management in terms of a cycle—moving from preparation to response to recovery and then around again. Leaders will be encouraged to think about: being decisive, yet flexible; framing and re-framing the situation as new information becomes available; communicating actively; anticipating the unexpected and applying critical reflection to analyse information.
