Interactions with Children 

Interactions with Children are key in OSHC. They set the tone for everything that happens in our services and are guided by National Regulations and Standards, as well as the Convention of the Rights of the Child. This session will examine these frameworks and the guidance they offer educators as they support and care for children. 

Children who are supported to understand themselves within a positive environment experience a sense of belonging that nurtures the development of self-esteem. Self-esteem is critical to their capacity to develop positive images about their abilities, interests and personal future. This session will include reflections on supporting children’s behaviour and ways to help resolve conflicts between children.
