We have all heard “children’s rights are human rights”. But what exactly does this mean for us in OSHC?


The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is a blueprint for an approach to child development, safety and wellbeing that is comprehensive and holistic. It explains and knits together child rights across domains (e.g., education, health care, social welfare systems) and contexts such as family, community, and culture. It has a particular focus on ensuring that all children and young people can thrive, including those who face the greatest challenges and complexity in their lives. Isn’t that what OSHC is all about?


Join us as we dive into the world's most ratified human rights treaty. We will ponder:
