Starting school (or at a new school or OSHC service) is a big step for families and children alike —and OSHC can play a vital role in helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to thrive at their new school.
Starting Strong explores how OSHC educators can provide meaningful transition support for the youngest or newest children in your program. It's vital to support these children as they navigate the shift from home, early learning programs or different schools to school life in your community. Through relational, play-based approaches and thoughtful routines, OSHC can become a secure base where confidence grows and connections flourish.
