Risk Management in OSHC - Online Workshop

It is the responsibility of everyone working within an education and care service, including approved providers, service leaders & educators to manage risks as part of service delivery. While Educators need to minimise the risk of harm, it is still important they maintain an enriching learning environment.

This session is intended to empower educators to recognise risk and implement appropriate and relevant risk assessment techniques so that opportunities can be pursued to enhance outcomes for children and families.

This session will cover:

• A shared understanding of key terms and definitions
• Introduction to the risk assessment and management cycle
• Undertaking a risk assessment – identifying hazards, evaluating risk and implementing control measures
• Monitoring and recording risk
• Appropriate strategies for communication and consultation

This session is suited to OSHC professionals at foundational, developing and proficient career stages.
