About the Event

Aboriginal 8 Ways of Learning Online Session

Note: This event is funded by the Queensland State Government via OSHC Uplift. Registration is only available for eligible OSHC Uplift services participating in the program. Further information about the program can be found here: https://www.qcan.org.au/oshc-uplift

This online session will be delivered by John Briggs Consultancy and will focus on the Aboriginal 8 Ways of Learning. The workshop will give educators simple and practical ways to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in their daily work with children. It will also explore how to create culturally safe learning environments and how leaders can support their teams with confidence. The session includes a live presentation, time for reflection, and a follow up action that participants can take back to their service.

The Queensland Children’s Activities Network acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia, and recognise their continuing connection to culture, land, waterways and communities. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
