Child safety is of paramount concern to the Australian Outside Schools Hours Care sector. In recent times we have observed legislative updates that are requiring changes to both service policy and practice. In addition, in Queensland there is the introduction of the ten Child Safe Standards. Our discussion this term is focused on the ten Child Safe Standards and the steps we need to take to comply.

Together our Community of Practice will:

• Unpack the ten Child Safe Standards

• Engage in collaborative self-assessment (using an adapted version of the Queensland Family & Child Commission's Self-assessment tool)

• Share observations and experiences

• Reflect upon impacts and concerns
