About the Event
National Reconciliation Week Event
Film Screening and Discussion Panel
To mark the beginning of National Reconciliation Week, QCAN are hosting an online event on the evening of Friday 27th May.
Individuals across Australia are walking their own unique paths towards reconciliation, at their own pace and at different stages. The 2000 Walk for Reconciliation was an important milestone on our journey as a nation, in which thousands of Australians united to be brave and make change. Join us for a screening of “Living Black- Walk for Reconciliation ” to explore how far we have come, and where we are still yet to go….
Afterwards stick around for the “Educators Being Brave and Making Change” panel, in which we will have the wonderful opportunity to hear from educators who have made important strides towards reconciliation within their OSHC communities. Participants will have the opportunity to submit and ask questions, as we have a yarn about facing our fears of “getting it wrong”, tackling tokenism and building relationships.
