Middle Childhood Development

All children are unique individuals who will grow and develop at their own pace. Although there are many differences in how children progress, there are also observable benchmarks for children’s growth and development that educators need to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of. In Middle Childhood, children move into expanding roles and environments and an understanding of this important phase of development is essential in our role as Educators. 

During this webinar we will: 

• Explore the physical, social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual domains 

• Develop an appreciation of relevant theories that support these 

• Discuss suitable and varied experiences to extend children’s learning and development across the developmental domains

• Discuss the design and delivery of an OSHC program which supports and promotes development holistically in accordance with the NQF
