About the Event

Making the most of the Quality Improvement Plan

Facilitated by Kylie Brannelly

The Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) is an important document for all OSHC services. It is a requirement that the plan:

- Is based on a self assessment of service practice against the NQS

- In updated at least annually

- Contains a statement of service philosophy

- Identifies opportunities for improvement

The QIP is a critically important document for the service and provides a benchmark upon which an Authorised Officer can assess the quality of the service.

This session will help you to make the most of your QIP. You will learn tools and techniques for:

- Assessing practice at both the meeting and exceeding levels

- Articulating service practice through the QIP in a relevant, meaningful and concise way

- Using the QIP to drive service quality

- Communicating the strengths in service practice to key stakeholders in new and innovative ways

- Engaging the team in the QIP development and implementation

- Ensuring the service philosophy is reflected through the QIP

- Maintaining the QIP as a living document
