Intergeneration Opportunities in OSHC - Online Workshop

My fond childhood memories include visits to stay with grandparents for the holidays and living beside neighbours who were elderly. I have come to discover the importance of these relationships with older people as being are critical to the way in which I connect with people, my sense of empathy and my overall sense of wellbeing. These personal experiences have shaped my recent research experiences about intergenerational practice.

In this session I am going to share with you some of the insights from my research about intergenerational practice. I have examined the benefits for children and young people who participate in intergenerational programs. I will provide examples of various models of programs from across Australia.
