Now more than ever we need courageous leaders in our organisations. The capacity for leadership starts from within. Leadership capacity and capability can be enhanced and developed. It’s something we can continue to work towards and develop each and every day. The NQS recognises the role of effective leadership in delivering quality education and care programs. Effective leaders lead and influence organisational change and consequently are instrumental in driving quality improvement. Rather than position and power, leadership is about qualities and values. There is not one way to enact leadership – it is dynamic and complex, it varies on the context and situation.
