Beyond the Rating: Redefining 'Success' in Assessment and Rating – Webinar Wednesday

Facilitated by Lainey Walker

Assessment and Rating is an important part of the National Quality Framework, designed to recognise quality practice and support continuous improvement. Yet for many OSHC leaders, the pursuit of a particular rating can become closely tied to professional identity, service reputation and perceptions of success, placing pressure on team wellbeing, leadership decisions, and where time and energy are invested.

This session invites participants to pause and reflect on how we define "success" within our roles, and what it really means to provide high-quality education and care. Together, we'll explore why a rating of Meeting the National Quality Standard represents a significant achievement, and consider how we can engage with Assessment and Rating in a way that strengthens practice while keeping children at the centre of our decision-making.
