The first Tuesday of November, the race that stops a nation – the running of the Melbourne Cup… Does your OSHC celebrate this event? Who with and how? Is it on the children’s radar? Why? How does it trickle into the OSHC program?

Before you pause to partake in this year’s Spring Racing Carnival, join us for some deep thinking as we ponder animals and ethics in OSHC. How are animals represented in our OSHC services? How can children access them? Are they food? Are they pets? Are they there for our amusement? What do you think the children are learning? How else could this look?
