As you approach the longest stretch of vacation care of the year - the summer holidays - OSHC educators can sometimes feel themselves filling with dread… How are we going to plan and implement a program to keep the children and young people happy and engaged for several weeks? Catering to the diverse needs of 4-13 years olds? Some of which come only a handful of times, while others might be there all day, every day... Enter the Play Curriculum


The Play Curriculum offers an approach to programing that can supplement your planned activities, incursions and excursions. It is informed by the latest OSHC research from an international triptych that reviled that there are three pillars that influence how OSHC is positioned by children and young people in Australia, Sweden and Switzerland - play activities, friends and autonomy.
