About the Event

Duty of Care in OSHC

Management and staff of school age care services have an obligation to ensure the safety and well-being of children attending the centre and participating in the organisation’s programs and activities. The obligations of management and caregivers arise from both statute law and common law applying to children’s service providers. This session will give you an overview of your Duty of Care, and some insight into how you can create a child safe environment to ensure this. In particular it will focus on:

· Supervision & Ratios

· Equipment & Environment

· Professional Boundaries

· Policy and Procedure
