About the Event

Webinar Wednesday - Building your Superpower of Emotional Intelligence

Facilitated by Rarni Rothwell

In our important work as school age care professionals, challenges arise that may impact upon our mental health and wellbeing. While we can’t eliminate these completely, we can develop an often-overlooked superpower to bolster our holistic wellbeing. Enter emotional intelligence….

Emotional Intelligence is the ability to understand, use and manage your emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathise with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict. Daniel Goleman, who popularise the term, suggested it was just as important as IQ in determining success.

This session will draw on a range of resources that educators can use to better understand their emotions and find strategies to help them navigate their emotions in the complexity of our everyday work in OSHC.

Join us to build your superpower!
