About the Event
Sustainability with Emily McKenna from Jindalee State School P&C OSHC
Emily is a qualified Occupational Therapist and has worked as an Educational Leader at Jindalee School Age Care program for a 7 years. Emily led a successful Action Research project in 2019 on “What are the stakeholder” perceptions of quality in OSHC? and has been part of the leadership team achieving an overall exceeding rating in 2018.
“At Jindalee we promote a unified and embedded sustainable cycle to harness our aims to reduce reuse and recycle. All stakeholders are involved in what we call our “full circle” sustainability philosophy which stretches across all aspects of our programming and practice. What this means is, for our service it is impossible to separate “sustainable practice” from other key areas of practice including - physical environment, health and wellbeing, staffing, collaborative partnerships and relationships with children.”
Should you have a story of practice that you would like to share as part for our Togetherness Tuesday, please contact Rarni Rothwell on rarni@qcan.org.au
