About the Event

The Quality Improvement Plan as a Living Document - Online Workshop

Facilitated by Rarni Rothwell

2023 has seen the refinement of how ECEC regulatory authorities quality assess and rate services. This includes an enhanced focus on the service’s self- assessment and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) as part of its continuous quality improvement, rather than as a point in time preparation for assessment and rating. The shorter notice periods also mean that the QIP needs to be a living document, ready to be shared, showcasing how a service is progressing it’s quality agenda. Is your QIP up for the task?

Join us as we consider:

  • A holistic and comprehensive approach to self-assessment that harnesses its full potential
  • The importance of collaboration
  • The QIP as a dynamic, evolving, living document
  • Ensuring you capture your exceeding practice

The adjusted notice period promotes best practice in education and care service delivery, one that is ‘always ready’ for quality assessment and rating. This meets the intent of observing and assessing typical practice. Approved providers and their services should not be experiencing unnecessary stress or pressure in anticipation of a quality assessment visit. Act now to ensure you are ready to submit your up-to-date QIP (or Self Assessment Working Document in NSW) to the National Quality Agenda IT System portal or via any other jurisdiction specific submission process when the time comes. Future you will thank you for investing in this proactively, ensuring the assessment and rating process effectively influences, and positively impacts, outcomes for your children, families and educators alike.

This session is suited to OSHC professionals at all career stages, but especially those looking to move from proficient to lead career stage.
