About the Event

Child Protection, Mandatory Reporting and Promoting Safe Behaviours

Facilitated by Rarni Rothwell

QCAN is offering a Child Protection, Mandatory reporting and Promoting Safe Behaviours online workshop that has been designed specifically for school age care. This session explores the Child Protection Act (1999) and practice frameworks that underpin QLD child protection.

OSHC services are in a unique position to understand the lives and experiences of children and families through the nature of their work. As a result of this and changes to legislation all OSHC professionals are Mandatory Reporters under the Act.

This session will support the Approved Provider’s compliance with the mandatory requirement of a procedure for training staff and volunteers under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
