About the Event

Regulatory Authority Priority Series – Relationships as the Foundation for Guiding Behaviour 

The Queensland Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (ECRA) is responsible for regulating the early childhood education and care sector including outside school hours care. They have a vital role in making sure children are safe and receive high-quality education and care. This series spotlights the new priority areas they announced in late 2023.

This session will focus on Positive relationships with children and young people, more specifically relational pedagogy. Relational pedagogy is integral for the day-to-day work of an OSHC educator. While supervising, delivering the program and guiding children and young people, an OSHC educator will have multiple opportunities to interact and build relationships with them.
