My Time, Our Place / Cycle of Programming

My Time, Our Place – The Framework for School Age Care in Australia (MTOP) is a guide for educators to provide children with opportunities to maximise their potential and develop a foundation for future success in life. MTOP acknowledges the importance of play and leisure in children’s learning and development, and that their learning is not limited to any particular time or place.

This session introduces the various components to the framework including the:

• Principles

• Practices

• Cycle of Planning

• Outcomes

It will also discuss as the importance of philosophy, theory and critically reflective practice.
