Making GREAT Educators

We all want GREAT OSHC Educators in the workplace. After all, the quality of an OSHC program relies on quality educators and HIGH QUALITY PRACTICE is what our children need to thrive.

OSHC Service Leaders responsible for educator development have a significant responsibility to prepare and support educators to reach their potential. This session will enable OSHC Service Leaders to maximise the impact of their recorded training package subscription through exploring:

• Adult learning principles and methods to develop educator skills and knowledge required for  working effectively in OSHC;
• Processes to gather information about learning preferences, strengths, needs and interests and apply these to the design and implementation of workplace learning initiatives;
• Engaging and appropriate individual and group learning opportunities in the organisation using the subscription;
• Culturally sensitive and appropriate workplace learning opportunities; and
• Competency development and workplace practice to consolidate learning.

This session is suited to OSHC professionals at proficient and lead career stages.
