Focus on Practice series: Holistic approaches

School age care educators take a holistic approach to their roles and responsibilities recognising the connectedness of all aspects of their practice. This webinar is part of our focus on practice series – allowing educators to reflect on important aspects of their pedagogical practice, as articulated in MTOP. It will support educators to consider the various ways holistic approaches can be embedded including:

• Connections between mind, body and spirit

• children’s physical, personal, social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive, and creative development

• connections between children, families and communities and the importance of reciprocal relationships and partnerships 

• Indigenous worldviews - interdependence between people, plants, animals and the land
