About the Event
Educational Program Essentials - OSHC Essentials Part 2
Facilitated by Rarni Rothwell
The National Quality Framework including My Time, Our Place - the learning framework for school age care has raised the bar for educational program and practice in OSHC. This has supported the sector through enhancing professional recognition but at the same time, such recognition is challenged by the relatively low standards required in terms of qualifications for educators to work in OSHC with much of the workforce is not required to hold or be working toward any sort of formal qualification. Â This workshop seeks to build the capacity of the OSHC workforce through developing the essential knowledge and skills required to be an effective educator on the job. It represents the bare minimum of things you need to know and be able to do and should be used in conjunction with YOUR SERVICES Policies and Procedure Manual.Â
This 2hr online workshop is part two of a two-part series – The OSHC Essentials. It will support educators to consider why their role is so important and how they can capitalise on every opportunity it presents for the program.  Educators will be provoked to think about:
