About the Event

Dynamic Risk Assessment

Facilitated by Emily McKenna

The Queensland Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (ECRA) is responsible for regulating the early childhood education and care sector including outside school hours care. They have a vital role in making sure children are safe and receive high-quality education and care. This series spotlights the new priority areas they announced in late 2023.

This session will focus on taking every reasonable precaution to protect children from harm and hazard using the process of dynamic risk assessment. OSHC Educators work in regularly changing environments, which require them to be able to quickly observe, analyse and respond to the safety risks and hazards specific to their evolving circumstances.

In this session we unpack the dynamic risk assessment process including:

- Identifying changes in the environment or activity
