Child Safe Organisations

Put simply, a child safe organisation puts the best interests of children and young people first.  Sounds like OSHC, right? Understanding Mandatory Reporting requirements is an essential part of an Educator’s role and feeling confident in our role as a mandatory reporter is just one way to ensure children’s safety. Going beyond mandatory reporting, OSHC services should focus on the organisations culture and values to implement child-safe practices across every area of their service. This shifts the focus from compliance to values and being a child safe organisation becomes part of the organisations identity rather than something they must do.

During this webinar we will outline:

- How to create an environment where children’s safety and wellbeing is at the centre of thought, values and actions

- Creating child-centred reporting and complaints procedures
