Webinar Wednesday - Bridging Generations: Creating Meaningful Intergenerational Opportunities in OSHC

It’s said that it ‘takes a village to raise a child’ and for half a million Australian children and their families, that village is outside school hours care each day. At a time when more and more families live without the regular opportunities of connecting with extended families, how can we ensure ‘our place’ does justice to the diversity of the human experience – young, old and all the in-between? By crafting OSHC communities infused with rich, multiage, intergenerational relationships - in our workforce, and in our program!


Intergenerational relationships in early education and care can create a rich, supportive environment where children receive nurturing from a variety of perspectives. Children not only benefit emotionally, socially, and cognitively, but also gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. These relationships help bridge…
