Using the Planning Cycle to Support Children's Behaviour

The Queensland Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (ECRA) is responsible for regulating the early childhood education and care sector including outside school hours care. They have a vital role in making sure children are safe   and receive high-quality education and care. This series spotlights the   priority areas they will be focusing on through to 2025.

This session will focus on Positive relationships with children and young people, more specifically how educators can be more intentional. 

The inclusion of a planning cycle into MTOP (2.0) acts to scaffold OSHC educators in the important curriculum work and decision making that’s required of them. Often this cycle is used in relation to observing, understanding and planning for “activities”. This cycle can and should be used for every aspect of decision making that takes place…
