Developing the Social & Emotional Climate of OSHC - Online Workshop

There’s ample evidence that highlights the role of social and emotional learning (SEL) in decision making, creativity, relationships and health. Research demonstrates that many people are not in touch with their emotions or properly equipped with the tools to regulate them (Brene Brown, Marc Brackett). We need to encourage more emotional expression, not less, and we’ll explore practical tools to bring theory to life; making our practice less reactive and more intentional and ultimately creating more enjoyable places to work and play.

During this session Educators will;

- enhance their own knowledge of SEL

- reflect on learning opportunities within the school age setting

-  identify strategies where SEL can feature more purposefully in their service’s program.

This session is suited to OSHC professionals at all career stages.
