Regulatory Authority Priority Series –  Supporting Educational Leaders to Understand and Advocate for Children's Rights in OSHC

The Queensland Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (ECRA) is responsible for regulating the early childhood education and care sector including outside school hours care. They have a vital role in making sure children are safe and receive high-quality education and care. This series spotlights the new priority areas they announced in late 2023.

The educational leader of a service plays a significant role in guiding and developing educators’ and families’ understandings about play and leisure-based learning, and the significance of the early years in the education continuum for children.

We have all heard “children’s rights are human rights”. But what exactly does this mean for educators in OSHC?
