About the Event

Proactive, Interactive and Effective Supervision in OSHC - Webinar Wednesday

Facilitated by Emily McKenna

Supervision is one of the key functions an educator uses to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children. However, supervision isn't as simple as observing children's play, educators must be both diligent and skilful in responding to children's diverse needs, interests and choices as they deliver quality education and care. Complementing effective supervision are the practices of interacting and building relationships with children. OSHC educators build safe and secure environments through a range of techniques and skills.

The learning outcomes of this course are intended to develop educator's knowledge and skills enabling them to:

  1. Develop a strong understanding of effective supervision and health      and safety in OSHC.

  2. Describe effective techniques for providing adequate supervision in      an OSHC service.
