Skills for Supervision - Webinar Wednesday

Across the NQF it is clear that children need safe and secure environments for their wellbeing, development and learning. Effective supervision is integral to creating such environments, ensuring children’s safety and being responsive to their individual needs.

During this session we will look at:

• Effective supervision strategies: collaboration,      positioning, movement, scanning and more.
• Dynamic risk assessments
• Agency and supervision

As you can imagine, effective supervision requires more than just headcounts. Join us today as we unpack the decisions we make about how to supervise and the skills required to be proactive, interactive and effective in our supervision.

This session is suited to OSHC professionals at all career stages.

In response to the changing needs of the OSHC sector we have made the following modifications to our Webinar Wednesdays:

• 30 minute sessions - shorter, sharper content to overcome the time constraints many services are experiencing that limits their engagement with professional development

  • Training  Plan for Educational Leaders with session objectives, regulatory context, pre reading or viewing options, learning activities and additional resources links. This is designed to scaffold Educational Leaders with supporting their educator team in their on the job training, ongoing learning and professional development. It draws connections between session content and pedagogy and practice, and provokes critical reflection on the important role of educational leadership.
  • Educator Worksheet with reflections and activities for ‘Putting into Practice’ the session content
  • This means that even through the sessions are shorter – you’re not missing out on the important bits
